Yesterday I signed up for ScribeFire and today I’m blogging directly from their website. So this is the test run.
Once you install this Firefox extension and go through the blog wizard
setup, you can right-click on any webpage and start blogging. The tool
comes up in a split-screen (see below) so you are allowed to look at
and access content from the current page while writing your blog.

I did read some reviews that complained that you couldn’t edit
timestamps or clear formatting; but these must have been old reviews
because those features are definitely present here.
Ross Hunter wrote in this blog about Blog Desk,
which is an indispensable tool for offline blogging but if you are on a
webpage and want to start blogging from there then ScribeFire is your
huckleberry. I am obsessed with efficient blogging techniques like the 2-Minute Blog Post.
I’m also always running into the problem of grabbing URLs of my earlier
posts. Referencing your earlier work is very important for any
blogger, almost as important as linking to other people’s blogs (like Lifehacker’s Scribefire post).
But going back through your blog can be time-consuming and you have to
go to a different tab. Not with Scribefire; in the right window is a
‘Posts’ tab and when you click on it, it lists all of your previous
posts. Click on the one you are looking for and hit the ‘Copy URL’
button. Paste it into your post and you’re done.
Because I’m new to this platform I know there’s a lot to learn still,
so send in your idea or if you know of a superior service, send it
over. And if any of you blog directly from Tracksuit using ScribeFire,
let me know and I’ll post your blog here.
