Many months ago I wrote an open email to Tim Ferriss and received a reply, shortly afterward I sent Tim a LinkedIn invitation.  I was surprised today to find this in my inbox:

I was almost as surprised as when Peter Cashmore accepted my LinkedIn invitation or Josh Spear became my Twitter buddy.
